Sister Tied The Knot

Kathryn and her boyfriend of 10 years, Nick (he knows her almost as well as I do) recently tied the knot in Comporta, Portugal. The setting (the beautiful Sublime Hotel) certainly lived up to its name. We were surrounded by friends, ate amazing food, partied on the beach, and laced up our dancing shoes. It was the weekend of a lifetime!

Kathryn and Nicky traveled through Portugal last summer and fell in love with the country (check out all their tips here).

Comporta is truly magical: An hour and change South of lisbon, it's a relatively undiscovered beach town on the Tróia peninsula in the country's Alentejo region. There are dense pine groves just feet from the blue green Atlantic, where cool beach bars dot white sand beaches (our favorite is Sal, where we danced on tables the day before the wedding). And the best part? The hospitable locals were as wonderful as the scenery.

Despite a rainy forecast, the weather was spectacular. As was Kathryn's Lela Rose gown (thank you Bridal Garden - an incredible non-profit that sells designer floor samples and donates proceeds to childhood education causes), the locally sourced floral arrangements (created by the fabulous husband and wife team behind Kckliko), and her perfect veil by our dear friend Gigi Burris. Our insanely talented friends at Winsome Brave designed Kathryn's invitation suite and I made our custom stone & 18k earrings and bracelets (look out for similar styles soon!). Her engagement ring was by Irene Neuwirth and her beautiful band is from Single Stone.

The wedding was filled with such beauty and love and I wish I could relive it all over again. I couldn't have imagined anything more perfect for my sis!
